Repairs we perform:

• Ferrari 3400 Motherboard
  The computer won't switch on or will crash intermittently. This type of failure can be caused by poor solder joints on the Acer systemboard. Certain video problems also require a motherboard repair as most video chips are soldered onto the mother board. Very few laptops have separate video cards. Our engineers perform component level repairs on Acer motherboards. We can replace diodes, resistors, transistors and also perform repairs on major chips within your system. A lot of system board failures are caused by the board flexing when the laptop is moved. A combination of expansion due to heat and flexing of the board can weaken the solder joints. • Ferrari 3400 Power Socket
  The laptop fails to turn on and the battery does not charge. We repair or replace power jack sockets where the power pin has broken or has become detached from the systemboard. The work is time consuming as the motherboard needs to be separated from the system to complete the repair. In some cases the power connector makes a poor connection with the Ferrari 3400 jack. This causes arcing which can generate enough temperature to melt the Ferrari 3400 dc jack and the power pin may become lose.
  
  

• Ferrari 3400 Backlight & Inverter
  The laptop switches on but the screen remains dark. In some cases a faint image is visible on the screen. This problem can be caused by a faulty fluorescent light, inverter, video cable or a problem on the motherboard. Special equipment is required to determine the exact cause of the fault. Backlights use very high voltages and it is easy to cause more damage to the system if they are not correctly handled and installed. Our engineers can replace the backlight lamps in most TFT/LCD screens. We also have access to most backlight inverters and cables. We can also perform repairs on some very rare inverters. It is very easy to destroy an expensive LCD/TFT when removing/installing the CCFL. Our engineers are trained using broken LCD panels before they can work on a customer's LCD/TFT unit.
  
  

• Ferrari 3400 Keyboard & Touchpad
  Keyboards are mostly damaged by liquid spills and general wear. We can supply or install keyboards for most Acer laptops. We also repair keyboard connectors on the  system board. Component failure on the motherboard can also result in keyboard/touchpad failures.

  We can install replacement fans and heat sink parts for most laptops. In cases where the original fan is not available, we can install substitute fans which will be equivalent or surpass the performance of the original fan.

  We supply original and compatible replacement screens for most laptops. In some cases only refurbished screens are available. We don't charge extra for installing and testing screens.
